Well we have our cranial facial/cleft doctor appt today. The main SLP did DS therapy yesterday, she said he has a glottal stop also and it seems like he wants to talk, has the intelligence to talk but it's like something structurally is in the way. So this appt might be interesting, but I doubt it. LOL....you all know how it goes, you think your on to something and then it's nothing, but we are going and we will see what happens. Its going to mess his day up, it's in the middle of nap time, but we will manage.
Nothing other then that.

Good luck at the appt, Shell. Hope it doesn't screw up ds's nap too much. How is your detox going? What does it involve?
Not much for us today. We have pt later and I'm hoping Hads doesn't fight her nap today. I'm trying a new recipe tonight for chicken enchiladas (thanks, Pinterest!) and it will only be in the 60's, so it should be a perfect night for it. Nice, boring day for us!
Reacts to many foods, though RAST testing was negative
Receives ST & PT through EI
FTT since 9 mos and counting

Good luck at the apt Shell. I hope it will turn out to be productive. The only nice thing about my kids being done with naps is that we don't have to worry about things being scheduled during nap time anymore. I used to hate that!
I hope you enjoy your day and your enchiladas, Megan!
Emma's has gymnastics this morning, and then we have to go grocery shopping. I hate shopping with the kids, but they were really good last time, so I am hopping maybe we are post the being totally obnoxious in the store phase! Probably just wishful thinking though.
I made plans with my two neighbors (the ones with kids) to take all our kids out on one of our pontoon boats to swim this afternoon, but it is only supposed to get up to 73, so that is a big cold for swimming. We will probably just play outside and take turn in each others yards like they usually do.
Oh, and Sebastian's piano lessons start back up today, so I have to make sure I don't forget to bring him. She only lives 5 min away and the lessons are only 15 min, so it is not a big deal, I just have to make sure we don't get distracted and forget all about it.

Detox is fine, it's the same week I have a monthly visitor too...so...this is real fun! LOL Well, I basically take everything out of my diet accept for beans, lentils, veggies, lettuce, oils, and some fruits. I also take a natural liver cleaning pill and drink something called ultra clear. Its a medical food drink that gives me my vitamin, minerals and also helps detox the liver. I also have to drink 70-80 oz of wter a day and I can have herbel tea. Your not supposed to have caffeine but I do have a cup of coffee int he am with out sugar. I HAVE to have that! This mornings breakfast...ultra clear drink...white beans with roasted red peppers, salt, pepper and olive oil. yummy Lunch...pear and lentil soup I made

Shell, that detox diet sounds tasty. I always have a giggle when I read or hear how much people need their coffee - I never drink it, I only really drink water and milk!
Megan, Pinterest IS lovely for recipes, isn't it? Today I got my slow cooker in the post, so please let me know which slow cooker recipes are especially good.
I'm feeling a bit green as I write this. When I picked Sam up from school he said he was in the mood for cake, could we please make cake. I'm not one to let his food enthusiasms go unfulfilled, so I found a yummy chocolate cake recipe and made it from scratch, plus marshmallow frosting (which turned out more like sauce). Sam helped me, and licked out the bowl. Usually when I do cake-making Sam's very enthusiastic, but doesn't end up eating any. But today he did! Even after a full portion of ravioli he had a fair-sized bit of cake, and enjoyed it, hurray. The reason I'm feeling green is that I had cake too. Too much of it. But it was really tasty, even though I had to improvise on the recipe a bit because I didn't have all the ingredients on hand.

LOVE THIS BOY!
Latest impedance pH probe and gastroscopy in Jan 2011 showed significant reflux, but slightly improved. We're sticking with 40mg Nexium for another year and hoping that Sam's eating picks up in the meantime. Considering an elimination diet and/or feeding therapy too...

Wow Shell, that sounds like a big change! I don't know if I could do that! Good luck with the appt, hope its productive. Wouldn't it be nice, in a way, if was all something structural they could fix?
Megan hope the enciladas come out good. I made MSPI safe white chicken enciladas the other night and they came out pretty good.
Katey hope you guys have a fun day.
Nothing here! Thank God! I am so worn out. I was falling asleep in the drive home from UCLA yesterday. So today is a stay in my pj's day and I refuse to do anything other than nothing! I'm sure Mike is expecting to come home to a clean house, they totally grossed the place up while I was gone, but that is not going to happen. Maybe I'll clean tomorrow.

LOL Heather.... If Mike wants the house clean tell him you would have like the house to be cleaned when you came home too! But it didn't happen. I envy your PJ day. The diet is a big change, but this is only for 10 days, then I get to eat lean meats, veggies, fruits and one grain a day, so it gets better. And I agree with you....it would kind of be nice for them to find a structural problem today, fix it and DS just start eating better and talking. he is over a year behind on speech. One can dream.
Mary...I could probably do with out the coffee...I have before but this detox zaps your energy and it helps me a little. I just enjoy it first thing in the morning. That's great about Sam eating the cake...he can eat some for me too. Cake is my favorite thing ever. It sounds like his eating is getting better these days.
