The event?s entertainment will include a traditional Lion Dance performed by local Chinese dancers, as well as a Kung Fu demonstration by local martial arts experts. In addition, children will have the opportunity to participate in the festivities by making their very own Chinese New Year dragon and snake puppets, which they can then take home.?One of the major traditions of Chinese New Year is a red envelope gift which usually contains money and is given by adults to children to celebrate the New Year. As an added element of fun, South Bay Galleria employees will be handing out red envelopes containing $2 to the first 100 children at the event.
