Manchester City's punishment for their lacklustre 2-0 friendly defeat by South African minnows SuperSport at the weekend was a gruelling fitness session in Durban.
Manuel Pellegrini watched his side succumb to defeat in his first game in charge since taking over from Roberto Mancini last month after two second-half goals in Pretoria.

That defeat came despite City fielding several international stars - and those same players were put through a rigorous weights session on Monday as Pellegrini and his staff watched on.
Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho - a ?30million summer arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk - was among those putting in the hard yards, as was England No 1 Joe Hart.
Pellegrini will be looking for a marked improvement from his squad when City play the second game of the South African leg of their tour against AmaZulu FC in Durban on Thursday.
