1. In order to get that six-pack or get those biceps to bulge, it?s going to take some dedicated weight lifting, as well as a proper diet, to get it done. But BEWARE, beginners very often have a tendency to over lift and cause injuries in the process. Body building for beginners says it?s best to schedule in 45 minutes of time three times a week, and give your muscles some time to rest in between. You start off by learning (either from a personal trainer or from a book or video) some simple weight lifting exercises for the upper body one day, lower body the next day, then do some kind of aerobics to get the rest of the body to get that heart rate up. You take a day or two off so the body can rejuvenate.

2. The best equipment to use for body building for beginners is of course the free weights. You start by using three different sized weights, one that is really light to you, one that is medium and one that is heavy. It depends on the size of the person, the weight of the person and whether or not you are a man or a woman. Women, although they can end up lifting just as much as the men, start off with lighter weights. Don?t try to lift too heavy of a weight at first. The most important thing is your form. Make sure you lift the weight correctly or you?ll hurt yourself. In order for the lift to be most effective you need to use the correct muscle and you have to lift it right.

3.You can also use the machines at the neighborhood gym. There are some great muscle building machines, each machine pertains to specialized muscles, and they work great for body building for beginners. Make sure you get a trainer at the gym to explain to you how to use each machine, showing you how to adjust the machine for your size and the weight you can safely lift. Follow the trainer?s advice very carefully.

4. Whether you use free weights or use the machines at the gym or combine the two, body building for beginners means you should consistently exercise at least three times a week, so that your muscles will respond. They will hurt at first, but get a good night?s sleep and the muscle will recover.
